Mixed Grain Rice with Green Onion Recipe
(serves 4 )

 

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups/ 625 ml
1 cup/ 250 ml
1 tbsp/ 15 ml

vegetable stock, heated
mixture of long grain and wild rice
butter
green onions, diced
salt and pepper

Method:

  1. Pour vegetable stock in saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat. add rice and season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook 45 minutes over low heat.

  2. Remove from heat and let stand 6 minutes.

  3. Melt butter in frying pan over medium heat. Add green onions and cook 4 minutes.

  4. Stir onions into rice. Serve.
