Sesame Chicken Loaf (Matsukaze-Yaki) Recipe

Ingredients:
500 g/ 1 lb

minced chicken
small leek, finely chopped
fresh ginger, peeled & finely chopped
soy sauce
sake
egg, beaten
oil
toasted sesame seeds |

Method:

Combine chicken,
leek, ginger, soy sauce, sake and egg in a
mixing bowl until well combined.

Heat oil in a 20
cm/ 8 in frying pan, spread chicken mixture
evenly over the base. Cook over medium heat for
2 to 3 minutes, until underside is brown. Cut
loaf into quarters, then turn the wedges over to
cook the other side for a further 2 to 3
minutes.

Transfer to a
chopping board and slice into smaller pieces for
serving if desired. Sprinkle with toasted sesame
seeds and serve with a green salad.
