 Stir-fried Crab, Ginger and Green Onions Recipe

Ingredients:

1 tbsp/ 15 ml
1 tbsp/ 15 ml
1/4/ 1 ml

2 tsp/ 10 ml
3 tbsp/ 45 ml

 

large live crabs
oil
garlic, crushed
thin slices fresh ginger, finely chopped
bunch green onions, sliced
chicken stock
soy sauce
sherry
sugar
dash sesame oil
cornstarch
water

 

Method:

  1. Cut crabs in half and segment them. Heat oil in a wok. Add garlic, ginger and green onions, and stir-fry for 30 seconds. Add crab pieces and stir-fry to coat with oil. Pour in stock, soy sauce, sherry, sugar and sesame oil and bring to a boil.

  2. Cook covered until crab shells turn pink. Stir in cornstarch blended with water to thicken, bring to a boil and serve.
