Fried Rice with Beef and Almonds Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 lb/ 225 g
1 tbsp/ 15 ml
1 tbsp/ 15 ml
3 tbsp/ 45 ml

1/2 tsp/ 2.5 ml
2 cups/ 500 ml
4 oz/ 110 g
Garnish:
|
lean steak, thinly sliced & shredded
soy sauce
cornstarch
vegetable oil
large onion, cut in fine shreds
medium green pepper, cut in fine shreds
salt
hot steamed rice
almonds, toasted
green onion shred
extra toasted almonds

Method:

Combine steak, soy
sauce and cornstarch. Heat oil in a wok and add
steak mixture. Stir-fry 2 minutes. Add onion,
green pepper and salt. Stir-fry 1 minute. Add
rice and almonds, stir-frying to blend
ingredients. This can be done off the heat.

Place mixture into an oiled ring
mold. Press down firmly. Turn out onto round
serving plate, garnish and serve.
