Sliced Beef with Oyster Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
2 tbsp/ 30 ml
1/2 tsp/ 2.5 ml
1 lb/ 450 g
1 tsp/ 5 ml
1 tbsp/ 15 ml
3/4 cup/ 185 ml
1 tbsp/ 15 ml
3 tbsp/ 45 ml
1 tsp/ 5 ml
1 tsp/ 5 ml
1/2 tsp/ 2.5 ml

vegetable oil
chopped garlic
boneless steak, thinly sliced
soy sauce
dry sherry
beef stock
cornstarch
oyster sauce
soy sauce
sugar
salt

Method:

Heat oil in a pan.
Add garlic and stir-fry briefly. Add beef slices
and stir-fry until it changes color.

Add soy sauce and
sherry, and cook for 1 minute. Pour in 1/2 cup/
125 ml stock.

Blend cornstarch
with oyster sauce, remaining stock, soy sauce,
sugar and salt. Stir in to thicken. Serve at
once.
