 LOW FAT LOW CHOLESTEROL RECIPES

Scallop Satay Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb/ 450 g
3 tbsp/ 45 ml
1

1/2 cup/ 125 ml
1 tbsp/ 15 ml



fresh scallops or thick white fish fillets
hoisin sauce
large onion, cut in 3/4 inch/ 2 cm cubes
small satay sticks, soaked in cold water
orange juice
salt-reduced soy sauce

 

Method:

  1. Combined scallops with hoisin sauce. Tread onto skewers with diced onion. place on sheet of foil and brush with a mixture of orange juice and soy sauce.

  2. Broil under medium heat 2-4 minutes, until scallops are white. Brush with orange juice and soy sauce during cooking. The remaining juice can be thickened and served as a sauce.
