Beef with Hot Bean Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 lb/ 225 g
1 tbsp
1/4 cup/ 60 ml
1 tsp/ 5 ml
1 tbsp/ 15 ml
1
2 tsp/ 10 ml
1 tsp/ 5 ml
1/4 cup/ 60 ml

beef fillet, thinly sliced
dry sherry
beef consommé
chopped garlic
hot bean sauce
large onion, cut into eighths
cornstarch
salt-reduced soy sauce
vegetable stock or water

Method:

Combine sliced
beef and sherry. Heat a non-stick pan, add beef
and stir-fry 2 minutes. Remove from pan and set
aside.

Reheat pan, add
consommé, garlic, hot bean sauce and onion, and
simmer covered 2 minutes.

Return beef to
pan. Blend cornstarch with soy sauce and stock.
Stir in to thicken and serve at once.
